Gêmeos digitais de cidades
Curitiba is the capital city of the state of Paraná, located in the southern region of Brazil. Curitiba is a major economic and cultural hub in South America, internationally renowned as a pioneer in urban planning and sustainable development. Home to nearly two million residents, it sits on a plateau roughly 3,000 feet (930 meters) above sea level, about 55 miles (90 km) inland from the Atlantic coast. The city is widely recognized for several defining characteristics: • Transit Innovation: Curitiba revolutionized modern transit by inventing the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system in the 1970s. Its dedicated bus lanes, iconic glass boarding tubes, and bi-articulated buses have been emulated by hundreds of cities worldwide. • Green & Sustainable Capital: It is frequently named one of the greenest cities on Earth. Curitiba boasts a vast network of parks and municipal forests designed not only for recreation but also for natural flood control and environmental preservation. • Smart City Pioneer: As mentioned earlier, Curitiba continues to blend technology with urban living, ranking highly in global smart city indices due to initiatives like its digital twin modeling, widespread recycling programs (Lixo Que Não É Lixo), and integrated data hypervisors.
